Itching all over, awaiting hep C blood test.?

Hi. I am awaiting a hep C blood test after getting splashed with blood from a hep C patient (i work on a dialysis unit). Even though occupational health have said i'm really low risk i'm a bit worried about it. Symptoms of early hep c are pretty rare i believe but i have been itching really bad over last couple of weeks. This started about a week after the blood splashed on me. I'm worried that the itching is an early symptom but i'm hoping its just a result of the anxiety, as i'm imagining i've caught it and its like its making my skin crawl. Has anyone else developed itching for no reason or because they think they've caught something. Can itching be psycho-sematic.
