Girl problems...help? lol?

i'm still in high school. i know u guys will think this is a stupid question but i never encountered this before. alrighty this is my problem...what if u like a girl that listens to different music than u? lets just say i listen to hip hop (i'm a dancer) but she listens to country or rock or whatever. i don't really know this girl but im planning to know her (myspace baby!!). yeah i don't know her # or anything. so lets just say i started to know her and became friends with her, but we're in different...groups...if that's what u wanna call it? see i'm kinda n the hip hop atmosphere and she's kinda in the..."preppy" lol i guess...kind of group. so i try to ask her out...what do u think will happen? i've never had this problem b4 cuz i've always dated a girl that we kinda share the same style (hip hop) instead of dating a girl that is outta my world...but i still like her lol so what do i do? i just don't wanna waste my time n run into a wall.
