My M3 wont start but the lights are on and flickering!!!?

Like mad crazy! HELP!!! So I have a M3 05, so in love, but anyways, I havent driving her in a while so last nite I started her up but it wont start. the lights would flicker on and off and the sound of clanking would be heard. Would anyone know what is wrong? Service light came on for alil bit. Battery dead? Just jump start it? Is my baby alright?!
